The H2E3 project lead is the Schatz Energy Research Center, based at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California. SERC’s major partner is the Institute of Transportation Studies, based at University of California, Berkeley. U.C. Berkeley’s Mechanical Engineering department and Humboldt State University’s department of Environmental Resources Engineering will test the H2E3 curriculum and teaching tools.
Industry partners include fuel cell developers Jadoo Power Systems, Inc., Protonex Technology Corporation, UTC Power, and IdaTech LLC. Each of these industry partners has agreed to provide internships in fuel cell technology for students who participate in the H2E3 project.
The H2E3 project is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Golden Field Office.
